As a seasoned litigator with 15 years experience in downtown Toronto, Pauline Bosman knows that succeeding at litigation depends not only on the merits of a case but on the management of the litigation process.
Pauline has represented a variety of clients from individuals to large multinationals. With her client centric approach Pauline takes the time to understand clients’ needs and goals and looks for strategic, practical and cost effective solutions. She knows that each step has to make both legal and business sense.
With her sensible and straight forward approach Pauline has successfully argued cases at trial and appellant levels in both Ontario and Federal Courts in a wide variety of commercial contexts including intellectual property disputes, construction disputes, debt/mortgage enforcement, franchise disputes and condominium law.
Education / Experience
Pauline Bosman earned her law degree from the University of Toronto in 1992 and was called to the bar in 1994. She practiced commercial litigation primarily in the areas of construction law, condominium law, mortgage enforcement and breach of contract claims for six years with a full service firm in downtown Toronto before concentrating on intellectual property litigation. Pauline completed her Master of Laws degree in Intellectual Property from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2004 and practiced for 9 years as senior litigator with one of Canada’s preeminent intellectual property boutiques.
Pauline has also co-authored two chapters in Intellectual Property Disputes, Resolutions & Remedies ((Toronto: Thomson Carswell, 2002 - 2009), editor, Ronald Dimock), a leading text on the practice of intellectual property litigation in Canada.
